- The builds are only available in English

Some changes:

- A new option allows users to put as many items on the Favorites bar as they want. The size of Links bar items can now be set to long (default), short (5 characters), or simply the favicon.
- New InPrivate Blocking button on the status bar. This can be pressed to turn InPrivate Blocking on and off.

Known issue:

- The Facebook friends list program has a known issue with the IE8 Partner Build. When you use the “Add to list” box from the friends list it causes the browser to hang. At this time, there is no known workaround.

When using the Internet for such activities as checking e-mail on a friend's computer or shopping for a gift on a family PC, some users prefer not to leave any traces of their session. The InPrivate Browsing feature of Internet Explorer 8 prevents the browser from saving session history, temporary Internet files, form data, cookies, and usernames and passwords.

- Up to 18% performance increase in World of Conflict
